ManyVids Issues Statement in Support of Performers Speaking Out

LOS ANGELES — ManyVids has issued a statement in support of adult entertainers who are speaking out against on-set abuse in porn productions.

According to the company, ManyVids desires to transform the adult industry into a haven that promotes sex positivity by helping adult content creators become successful entrepreneurs. ManyVids provides 1.6 million active members with erotica from more than 15,200 independent content creators who use the platform to connect with their fans.

The following is ManyVids’ statement:

On March 9th, 2018, adult industry performers Leigh Raven and Riley Nixon decided to share the graphic details of their horrifying on-set experiences in a video uploaded to fellow performer Nikki Hearts’ YouTube channel. They put themselves in an exposed and vulnerable position to hopefully prevent other performers from undergoing the same abusive treatment.

The amount of strength that Leigh, Riley, and Nikki were able to demonstrate is admirable. We want to celebrate their act of courage. Despite their pain and fear of judgment, their objective to unite their voices against violence and abuse is an example of true bravery. Against all the odds, they set out to share their stories to protect others. That deserves recognition.

They are heroes.

It is the beginning of a new era, where women can now stand together and send a message to the entire adult industry that abuse and disrespect towards adult performers is and always will be completely unacceptable.

ManyVids was created to help fight against abuse, change industry standards, and offer a safe haven for sex workers to thrive independently. We will never stay silent, and we will stand alongside these heroic women. The only way we will transform this industry is by continuing to spread a message of love and hope.
